The revelation band Deolinda has definitely left a mark in contemporary Portuguese music by mixing traditional music roots and fado with a whole new way of approaching the national song. On June 1st at 22:00 the band will present its latest album - "Mundo pequenino" - in Teatro Aveirense, in Aveiro.

June is the month of the famous Cherry Feast in Fundão taking place from June 7th to 10th! But a delicious gastronomic festival will also take place from June 1st to 30th, involving 16 restaurants and 4 bakeries of the city! Each one of them will bake cherry-related specialities! That's yummy!

Save the date on your agenda! On June 1st starts the festival "Viseu a..." taking place in 2013 and in 2014! 24 hours non-stop of performance arts and the ideal excuse to rediscover the city of Viseu through the hands of Portuguese and international artists! Promoted by Teatro Viriato and designed for the promotion of creation and artistic pleasure, VISEU A 01 DO 06 officially starts as "The First Feast" on June 1st and it ends in 2014. This event is focused on the public space of Viseu, engaging local, national and international artists. Throughout the day across the streets and the sky, from Parque Aquilino Ribeiro to Praça da República, from the Cathedral square to Largo Mouzinho de Albuquerque, there will be theatre, music, dance, contemporary circus (nouveau cirque) and tightrope walking.

In June , the city of Fundão will host the Cherry Feast, along with the Gastronomic Festival "Fundão, the place where you eat well", offering the best cherry-based recipes.The Cherry Feast will be held from June 7th to 10th in the village of Alcongosta.

The European Rowing Championship will be held from June 14th to 16th in Montemor-o-Velho (23 km away from Coimbra and 17 km away from Figueira da Foz). Keep on rowing!

From June 19th to 20th, the city of Guarda will be the stage of the 3rd Jewish Culture Cycle, including guided visits to the Interpretation Centre Isaac Cardoso in Trancoso and several conferences. Registrations are opened until June 17th.

Prestigious pianist Michael Nyman has created some of the most outstanding film soundtracks of all times, as for example the highly acclaimed soundtrack for Jane Campion's film The Piano. The artist is back in Portugal for a solo presentation of his deeply moving music. The concert takes place on June 27th at 21:30 in Teatro Aveirense, in the city of Aveiro.

"Songs inspired in Spring, written in Summer, recorded in Autumn and played in Winter". The Portuguese band The Gift present their newest album "Primavera" (Spring) on June 28th at 21:30 in Teatro Municipal da Guarda.

Rodrigo Leão presents his most recent work "Songs (2004-2012)", a compilation of the songs sung in English. He is one of the most renowned Portuguese contemporary composers both nationally and internationally. On this tour Rodrigo Leão will surely surprise his faithful audience by trying new ideas and revisiting the most remarkable moments of his enduring musical career. On July 7th at 22:00 in Centro de Artes e Espectáculos in Figueira da Foz.
